I do not see why Recommended was removed from K-Lite. K-lite has served me for years and has worked without error and is combined with WMPC makes it one of the best codec pack. If you only beef with it is that it says mega pack then just make it be titled " K-Lite ".

Everything BoxTorrents are about is anime/manga related stuff, right? And for that the users only need a minimal pack as CCCP. And as it's stated under CCCP, it's only reason for existing is to give people watching anime a useful codec pack without the use of extensive codec packs as K-Lite. Further on, since the majority of the fansubs groups only recommend CCCP I believe that BoxTorrent should follow this as well. And remember, nothing deserves to be entitled Recommended just because one user likes it. To be entitled Recommended we need to seriously debate if it deserves it. --Deimon 18:02, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
Then why don't you make a poll on which codec pack people use on the forums then.Mur 20:21, 25 August 2008 (UTC) | Then why don't you make a poll on which codec pack people use on the forums then.Mur 20:21, 25 August 2008 (UTC)

The page would be better if it was categorised as BT Clients is, with Good / Acceptable / Bad, and not in alphabetic order as it is now. I'm not changing this right now, 'cause I don't want to start an edit war or anything, but MPlayer is only "acceptable"? It uses its own codec tree without polluting your installation! That's a big plus, right there. Joystick interface, infa-red remote control, unparalleled keyboard control... And there's been a user friendly Windows GUI version out for some while now. So, gimme some good arguments why it shouldn't go under "good" or perhaps "一番". Maybe because it's a fact that less multiple choices makes a better and easier life? As CCCP only includes Zoom and MPC I guess that's why those are the only ones recommended, but you might be right to put MPlayer as a recommended as well since it's a cross platform player. --Deimon 07:28, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

Out of curiosity, is the player labeled as KMPlayer intended to be Konqueror Media Player (KMPlayer) or The KMPlayer? I honestly don't know if the first runs MKV files or not. It's not listed on the wikipedia MKV page as one that can run them, but that is, in fact, a wiki so it could be wrong. I personally use the second to play files now, and have found it to be fairly impressive. | Out of curiosity, is the player labeled as KMPlayer intended to be Konqueror Media Player (KMPlayer) or The KMPlayer? Do you really need to ask that? The link points at , so how could you believe otherwise? --Deimon 07:28, 7 September 2008 (UTC) |

KMPlayer (closed)
Out of curiosity, is the player labeled as KMPlayer intended to be Konqueror Media Player (KMPlayer) or The KMPlayer? I honestly don't know if the first runs MKV files or not. It's not listed on the wikipedia MKV page as one that can run them, but that is, in fact, a wiki so it could be wrong. I personally use the second to play files now, and have found it to be fairly impressive.
