I like using BoxTorrents, I saw there was a wiki so I made an account in case I find a way to help in the future. I also have
a forum account. I just had to reregister for the main site though, for some reason accounts don't seem to stick there very long... Tyciol 03:01, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
My 2009 account was deleted due to inactivity so had to make this profile in 2011. Last used 2012-06-16 but it caused some mixup where it made a new forum account which I never logged into because it logs me into the old one. I'm not really sure why. Thought having the same name would prevent this.
So anyway, to avoid future confusion with multiple forum accounts of the same name, I think I'm going to wait 11 months for it to expire (after May 17 2013 I guess? Next June to be safe) and use a different, preferably shorter pseudonym.
Next year I plan to get started off on the right foot, by having a clearer (perhaps bigger) drive which I can actually keep files in to seed them for a good duration. For years I have had bad leecher habits where I'd immediately shut down a torrent when it got to 100 and delete it from the computer after having watched it.
Actually... I still might do that and just pay a seedbox to pay it forward. =/ My dream is to donate 4.63 Euros to help maintain the site some day. Or perhaps even 16.69 (15.10 + 1.59) Euros.
So for the next year I think I'll resort to Anon and not benefit from the use of the in-site search engine, utilizing Google and stuff. I'd like to find rare 'bonus' torrents and seed them to make sure nothing ever goes down. Perhaps some day I'll be a bad enough dude to run a seedbox for rarities myself. The idea of making things accessible for others is good.
Also I hope Category:Years for anime series can be a tool to help people look up anime in chronological order, since there isn't a columnar search tool for users at the moment. That said: I'm going to have to wait until 2013 to continue adding to it, because the in-site engine is an asset for doing that. Perhaps by that point something might be done about the requirements for filling out captcha every time a link is added. I don't think linking within BakaBT.me itself should even count as 'external', but meh.
